The Fastener Design Engineer will design, develop, and coordinate fastener solutions that meet the requirements of customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. This role ensures the creation and maintenance of accurate CAD documentation, supports engineering and sales initiatives, and contributes to quality assurance through testing and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Develop 2D and 3D ASF and R&D drawings using AutoCAD Inventor for quoting and design purposes.
- Maintain an organized digital filing system for CAD drawings and related documentation.
- Review, print, and revise product drawings to ensure accuracy in scale and alignment with quote requirements.
- Perform weight calculations and provide engineering support and problem-solving assistance to the Sales team.
- Create and manage CAD files and technical specification data sheets.
- Analyze customer blueprints to identify missing or unclear attributes for quoting and production.
- Conduct product testing as needed, including torque testing, hydrogen embrittlement testing, and part layout verification.
- Create and cross-reference part numbers in the ERP (P21) system.
- Assist the Quality department with PPAP documentation review and compliance.
- Participate in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and Lessons Learned initiatives with the Engineering team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years equivalent experience in CAD Design
- Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Work Environment:
Work performed in office environment with shop, warehouse, test house, customer visits as needed.
Exposed to various manufacturing, shipping, testing, and storage elements, equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Will be expected to travel to Cincinnati, OH area for 1-2 weeks a month
